One of my favorites

This girl right here.... Is seriously one of my favorite people. I just love her! McKall has always been more like a little sister to me than a niece. She has the sweetest heart and is so thoughtful. She wants everyone to like her --- and most times people do! I love to watch her take care of Stockden and her little sisters because she is just so sweet to them. She is one brave girl too. She is able to adapt to situations and conflicts in her life that I would cry and run away from. She is one of my most favorite people because even though she is 12 years younger than me, I look up to her and consider her one of my heroes. I am so excited to see who she becomes and what a wonderful person she becomes! What a blessing she is in my life! I love you Callie Wogg!!

Blessed

I am the worst at realizing how blessed I really am-- which I guess is why I have to continue to be reminded. I have always struggled with paying my tithing. Its my issue. Well the past few months I have really tried to make sure I pay my tithing very first, so I don't forget. I have really tried hard to make that my priority. Well, I haven't really felt a difference (which was so nice) and in fact I have been able to save more! Then my little tender mercy happened, my boss gave me a bonus even when I hadn't reached the level I was suppose to, to be able to get a bonus and you know what... It was almost the exactly the amount of my last doctor bill... Miracle??? I think so. Well I am grateful that my Heavenly Father sends me signs that I know me and is watching out for me even when I don't deserve it. I am so blessed.

Where Were You?

Sunday was the 10 year anniversary of September 11, 2001 when the twin towers fell in my favorite city on earth. I remember that day still so vividly. I was in 9th grade and I walked into my science class and saw the TV on. We watched the 2nd tower fall. I remember everyone was so scared, but there is no way we could have really comprehended how life changing that would be. It is so crazy to think that was really 10 years ago. The one thing that's for sure-- I WILL NEVER FORGET. I have been so lucky to go back and see where those towers once stood and to feel how sacred that ground is. My heart goes out to all of those who lost someone the cared about that day. I am proud to be an American and I am so grateful that that senseless act of terrorism did not bring our country down, but did the exact opposite and raised up heroes and pride for this country. God Bless America!!

Craving a little painting

I am absolutely obsessed with painting rooms and redoing my house. I haven't done anything to the house in a while and I am dying to change something. I am not one of those people who doesn't like change... I could change everyday and be happy. Well, I have been dying to paint gray and white stripes in my house somewhere... but where??? Family room.... Bed room... kitchen??? I am thinking family room. Here is some of my room inspirations...

Well, now as a look at these rooms, not one of them is a living room... hmmm so maybe this should be my bedroom. Looks like I need to do some more thinking??? Geez. Decisions.

It could always be worse

Just when I think that I am the most picked on person on earth Heavenly Father shines a light and whispers--- it could always be worse and I am instantly taken to my knees. I had a horrible day where I was given what I feel like is some of the worst news I could get, then I talked to one of my clients and he is one of the sweetest guys. He just found out that he had cancer. Wow- Well at least I don't have cancer. He was so positive and so nice about it, and I am over here bitching because I don't get to run a marathon. I realized after that phone call that even when things feel like they couldn't get any worse- they could. I am so lucky that even my worst day is not that bad. I have really sweet work friends who try so hard to help me feel better. And I have a really sweet mom and sisters who bring me sodas and call me to go to lunch, and Sam is really sweet and shows up at my work with a treat. I am blessed and sometimes just too stupid to realize the extent of my blessings-- Thanks for the reminder Heavenly Father-- I needed that.

Carousel Fun

Today at lunch Ash brought Stockden over and we went to lunch together. We were so excited to see that the new Carousel in St. George. We decided to walk over and let Stock have a turn on it. He was SO excited to ride the horses! He was so sweet and picked out the horses that his sisters would ride on if there were there. After we were done he kept saying the funniest things like " I love that horsey" or " Oh my that was so fun!" " I really like that horse, he's so nice." What a fun lunch break!
